Lonely Soul
A poem by Chloe Rose.
On Saturday 20th June, the eve of the Solstice, I was sitting with some dark emotions that were emerging from within me, up to the surface of my consciousness. Rather than allowing the darkness to consume me, I gave it voice, and alchemized it into Art…
She’s just a lonely Soul
Wondering in the cosmic abyss.
Navigating the pain and the sorrow
In the empty void, she seeks her bliss.
Feeling lost amongst the chaos and noise
With pain in her body, scars on her heart.
Following the road less travelled
The depth of darkness fuels her art.
She’s just a lonely soul
Forever feeling misunderstood.
So much rage and frustration
She’d set it all ablaze if she could.
Solitary stillness forever her old friend
Seeking redemption in the silence.
However, the further she ventures
The more that the quiet feels violent.
She's just a lonely Soul
Yearning to meet her mate.
But how can she ever hope to align
When she is death and fire incarnate?
Moments of joy, lifetimes of despair
Floating upon an ocean of sorrow.
Emptiness dances with everythingness
Keeping adrift on dreams of tomorrow.
